Saturno

Terms of service

Last updated:

These terms govern the use of Saturno, an online service for planning employee shifts at saturno-app.com, provided by Christian Springer, Via San Maurizio 11, 34129 Trieste (TS), Italy (“Saturno”, “we”). By creating an organisation or an account you accept them.

The customer

Saturno is a tool for organisations. The customer is the organisation that creates its workspace; the person who creates it confirms they are entitled to act for it. Department leaders and employees use Saturno on behalf of their organisation, which invites them, decides what each role may do, and is responsible for their use. Saturno is not meant for consumers.

Accounts

Each person has their own account, with a verified e-mail address and a password. You are responsible for keeping them private and for what is done with your account. If you suspect that someone else is using it, change your password and tell us at privacy@saturno-app.com.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for anything unlawful, or enter data you have no right to process;
  • interfere with the service — probe it, overload it, bypass its limits, or try to reach data that isn't yours;
  • share an account, or give a person access they are not entitled to;
  • resell the service or offer it as your own.

The organisation is the data controller of the personal data it enters about its people. It is responsible for having a lawful basis to process it and for informing its people, and it instructs us to process it as the Privacy policy describes.

Your data

Your data stays yours. We process it only to provide the service, as the Privacy policy describes, and we claim no rights over it. You can print your schedules and reports at any time, and ask us to delete your organisation's data.

Availability and changes to the service

Saturno is an early version. We work to keep it available and to improve it, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may change, add or remove features. A change that takes something away from you is announced in advance where we reasonably can. We may suspend an account or an organisation that breaks these terms or endangers the service.

Fees

Saturno is currently free of charge. If we introduce paid plans, we will say so in advance, and nothing is charged without your explicit agreement.

Liability

Saturno helps you plan; it does not plan for you. The organisation remains responsible for its schedules, for respecting employment law and the applicable collective agreements, and for checking what the service suggests before it relies on it.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damage, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for all claims arising from the service in any year is limited to the fees the organisation paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or to €100 if it paid none. Nothing in these terms limits liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Ending the agreement

An organisation can stop using Saturno at any time and ask us to delete its workspace. We can end the service with reasonable notice, or at once in case of a serious breach of these terms. After the end, data is deleted as the Privacy policy describes.

Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute about them or about the service is decided by the Italian courts, to the exclusion of any other; where the law grants a party a mandatory forum, that forum applies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top says when they last changed. A change that matters is announced in the service or by e-mail at least thirty days before it applies. Using the service after that date means accepting the new terms; if you don't accept them, stop using the service and ask us to delete your organisation.
